Overall Job Purpose:
The role is primarily focused on reserving. The successful candidate will be able to effectively handle the quarterly reserving process and support data analytics for the wider organisation. In addition, the individual will be able to support capital modelling, reporting and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculation of the quarterly reserving process including data collation and validation, actuarial modelling, results analysis and report preparation.
- Provide data analytical support and guidance to business users (primary UW and Claims) – understanding business needs, developing reports, providing user training.
- Support with business data modelling.
- Implementing reporting best practices.
- Supporting calculation of the various capital requirements
- Carry out other ad hoc analysis as required by the business.

Person Specification:
- Newly / qualified actuary with at least 1-3 years’ reserving experience in non-life insurance.
- Experience with reserving software.
- Advanced Excel skills, ideally with some knowledge of a programming language.
- Data analysis tools and techniques.
- Takes ownership of tasks and challenges, seeing them through to completion.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team.
- Good organisation skills.
